In this hand-out I would like to look at how our sense of self-esteem, self-worth and belonging could get challenged through relationships during such emotionally charged time as pregnancy. This is not going to be an issue for all of mums-to-be, but if you are someone who has been already struggling with feeling worthy, deserving and accepted in the past, these same feelings may get strongly challenged in certain relational situations during your journey of pregnancy and make you feel more isolated and alone.  

This is why I have put together some simple tools and information sheet on how to help yourself cope with your thoughts and emotions surrounding this time time of your life.

I come from a counselling background and I am a firm believer in our innate resourcefulness to become more resilient and accepting of ourselves. I use visual aids to help express and name these feelings and so far I have found Tarot card symbolism being the most helpful in connecting with our own world of personal meanings.
